Finished!

There’s some good news to share here, all you Kriek-lovers out there; the book ‘In The Pines’ is done! Two years of solid writing, sketching, inking and drawing have been wrapped up and the result is roughly 120 pages containing five gripping tales of melodrama and murder! I’m proud to say, without wanting to sound too coy, that this is some of the best work I’ve ever done. I’m very pleased with the way the five stories, insprired by murder ballad lyrics, drifted to the surface. We are currently in the post-production stage; e.g. correcting, lettering and finalizing the book design. Hopefully everything will be ready to get shipped off to the printer somewhere in the coming months. The book is slated to come out in january of next year, hopefully in four different languages at the same time; dutch (why naturally) french, german and italian. If all goes well we, that is my publisher Scratch Books and I, will be able to present this brand new love child of mine to the world at the International Comics Festival in Angouleme, France, which is held in the last weekend of january in 2016.My publisher is still negotiating english language editions, so hopefully I will be able to give you more news about that soon.
