Moleskine sketchings

Never leave home without my moleskine.

I visited Barcelona last summer. I tried to discipline myself in carrying a tiny moleskine sketchbook everywhere I went. When one does illustrations and commissioned drawing one tends to forget the sheer joy and thrill of doing actual drawing, just for the fun of it. When I was younger I used to carry a dummy sketchbook every day, but over the years I sort of lost the discipline. Now I find that I have so much extra time on my hands hanging out with my young son. He runs around the playgrounds and parks in our neighborhood so I have plenty of time to draw. And there’s these endless summer holidays of course, something I reluctantly resigned myself to.
